Foodie Flashcards

Foodie Flash Cards
Let’s face it, there’s nothing a foodie loves more than letting you know how much they know about food… yep, I admit it! Your foodie friend can use this playful pack of cards on their own to brush up on their gastronomic definitions or with a group of friends for a little friendly competition. They’ll be saying phrases like “The onion foam on these deconstructed burgers is divine!” in no time.

Chef Sleeves

Chef Sleeves
The perfect gift for the foodophile that’s constantly Blogging, Pinteresting, Instagramming and Tweeting their latest culinary conquests. This little stocking stuffer will definitely impress. They’ll breathe a sigh of relief and holler, “why didn’t I think of that?” when they unwrap these little beauties. Warning: I take no responsibility for the reckless cooking abandon that may ensue as a result.

The Flavour Thesaurus

The Flavor Thesaurus
This isn’t a recipe book, and it’s unlike any other food book out there. It’s funny, entertaining, original and above all incredibly useful. Packed full of flavour matches, suggestions, inspiration and creative guidance, this book will have both aspiring and experienced foodies mesmerized.

50801

Ice Pop Molds
The coolest thing to hit foodie land since sliced bread, the popsicle is here to stay as a summer staple.  See our previous blog post about just how cool they really are.  So why not give your foodie friend the goods they need to get the icy job done and then drop in on a hot afternoon, just for a catch up? This set of 10 ice molds is super sleek and sexy with its aluminum lid. Very adult indeed!

French Style Rolling Pin

French Style Rolling Pin
Why do they need a French one I hear you ask? Well, they’re incredibly effective for all sorts of pastry and they look good… really, really good. You may want to put this big guy in a box before you wrap it though. You don’t want to cause your foodster undue anxiety if they’re opening it in front of their family.

Aeropress Coffee Machine

Aeropress Coffee Machine
So here’s the thing. If they’re into food, they’re more than likely into coffee too. And what’s the rage right now? Air pressing of course! For the coffee connoisseur out there who has everything, give this one a whirl… or rather, a little push. It’ll give them pure brewing pleasure in two minutes.

Olive Wood Salt Keeper

Olive Wood Salt Keeper
What can I say… this is simply gorgeous and practical! Your culinary companion will love keeping their Himalayan Pink Salt in this little guy. It has a swivelling lid for easy one-handed access as well. Ah, I love it when form follows function.

Concrete Egg Cups

Concrete Egg Cups
There’s nothing more nostalgic or comforting than dunking crunchy, buttery soldiers into a perfectly soft-boiled egg. But these egg cups will make them feel very sophisticated indeed… particularly as the cup can magically (ok, it’s a magnet) balance a spoon on its edge.

Adopt an Olive Tree

Adopt an Olive Tree
Why not give them a gift they can feel all warm and fuzzy about? Nudo’s olive trees grow in lovingly tended groves in Sicily and the east of Italy. You can adopt one of their olive trees for your buddy for a year, and Nudo will send them premium Italian olive oil created from their very own tree. Yep, it’s as special as it sounds, so trust me… they’ll love it!

The Golden Pig

The Golden Pig Cooking School
The Red Candy team has first hand experience with this one, and let me tell you… we had a fabulous day filled with phenomenal food with an atmosphere to die for.  It’s a hands-on cooking class so you really do learn and they’re so incredibly generous with their knowledge. Even the expert foodie will learn something, and have a whale of a time while they do.

Tina Frey Champagne Bucket

Tina Frey Champagne Bucket
Handmade, hand sculptured and oh so pretty, this champagne bucket with leather handles makes me weak at the knees. And to make this sexy creature even more beautiful, it’s lead and BPA free and food safe. What’s not to love? Throw in a bottle of Pol Roger and you’ll be in the good books for years.

Oscar Neo Juicer

Oscar Neo Juicer
Cold pressed juicing is a thing. It’s a big thing. So here’s a way to satisfy the health conscious food lover in your life. This little number not only produces incredible nutrient rich juice, it’s easy to clean (hard to believe I know, but I can vouch for it ’cause I’ve got one) and looks pretty damn impressive sitting on your kitchen bench to boot.

Sous Vide Supreme

Breville Sous Vide Supreme
Ok, so this one may be a little over the top, but if you’re looking to impress… and I mean seriously impress, you might like to get up on this action. Sous Vide is a technique used in restaurants. They seal the food in vacuum bags and then pop them in a bath of temperature controlled water. If you’re not a foodie, you’ve probably just read blah, blah, blah. So, you’re just going to have to trust me on this one!

So, now it’s over to you. If you happen to get any of these for your beloved foodie, let me know all the details. I want to know if they oooed, ahhhed, jumped ecstatically or simply gave you that ‘you sooo get me’ look.  Happy shopping and happy holidays!
